US 30 Advance ITS Improvements
Drive Integration (DI) was responsible for providing systems engineering, integration services, and network communications equipment (switches and SONET equipment) for the project. Specifically, DI was tasked with creating equipment submittals, developing and performing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) device standalone testing procedures, installing SONET equipment and network switches, and configuring and integrating project ITS devices. Additional work includes modifying Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) ITS enclosure designs to be more reliant on DC power, utilizing PoE++ to power various ITS devices, and modifying the existing PennDOT SONET network architecture.
