Drive Integration (DI) was responsible for designing the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) enclosures and performing the hardware/software integration services for the project. Specifically, DI was tasked with creating equipment submittals, developing and performing ITS device standalone testing procedures, configuring and integrating project ITS devices, updating communications hubs, and modifying the existing SONET communications architecture to incorporate the project ITS devices. Additional work performed includes performing maintenance/troubleshooting services for the project network/ITS devices (CCTV cameras, Vehicle Detectors, Dynamic Message Signs, and Variable Speed Limit Signs (VSLS), troubleshooting project uninterruptible power supplies, developing automatic update solution to alert operators of VSLS communications or power failures, and redesigning existing fiber communications network for the routing of new ITS devices.
